Co-Founder
Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato are the co-founders of the innovative and Emmy® Award winning production company, World of Wonder Productions.
Together, they have produced and directed award-winning films and documentaries such as Catch and Kill: the Podcast Tapes with Ronan Farrow, Small Town News, Stonewall OutLoud, Mapplethorpe: Look At The Pictures, Inside Deep Throat, Wishful Drinking, Monica in Black and White. Fenton and Randy produced and directed the movie Menendez: Blood Brothers starring Courtney Love.
Seven of their films have premiered at Sundance Film Festival including The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Becoming Chaz and Party Monster (the feature film starring Macaulay Culkin). Three of their documentaries - Out of Iraq, Party Monster, The Last Beekeeper - have won Emmy® Awards.
In addition to their feature documentaries they are best known for hit series such as RuPaul’s Drag Race (VH1), Million Dollar Listings (Bravo), Backyard Envy (Bravo), Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce (Fuse), and Island Hunters (HGTV). Randy and Fenton were honored with the IDA Pioneer Award in December 2014, celebrating "exceptional achievement, leadership, and vision in the nonfiction and documentary community”.
Self-proclaimed screen agnostics, Fenton and Randy believe its the dimensions of the story not the size of the screen that counts. They also believe that in the rapidly evolving media climate a story can be told in an infinite number of ways. Recently, for example, they produced the live event Drag Con with over 100,000 attendees.
World of Wonder has created a substantial digital footprint with its YouTube channel and MCN network WOWPresents Plus along with an award-winning blog, The WOW Report.
